Completed June 2019 Selly Oak a interserve project consisting of a 418-bed student accommodation scheme, 11 other shops and parking facilities.
On this project we have been working for FP McCann seal their precast insulated sandwich panels.
This project is an excellent example of precast off-site construction. The speed of installation and quality of finish makes this an obvious choice when examining modern methods of construction.
Using Sika Everbuild 825 we have applied a double seal system that consists of our first seal bet back into the joint approximately 70mm, then a second seal to the face of the precast. We then apply a special mix aggregate to the sealant to match the morter joints.
This project is a brilliant example of our aggregate finsh. We take the time to mix our aggregates in house to create a bespoke mix for each project to achieve a finish that blends expansion joints into the facade.
